Soon Ja Du was the wife of former South Korean President, Chun Doo-hwan. She served as the First Lady of South Korea during his presidency, from 1980 to 1988. Her role was largely ceremonial, but she was often present at official events and diplomatic functions. She was known for her charitable activities and her efforts to promote Korean culture. Later in life, she faced public scrutiny alongside her husband due to his controversial legacy and accusations of corruption during his time in office.
